Yamada's new series, Mayoke (魔除け) is inspired by the traditional Divine Sacred Religious Object for Repelling, Defeating & Sealing Evil Demons in Shinto, Shugendo, and Buddhism. They are also called Amulet and Talisman. In these religions, there are two kinds of Demons. Zenki (善鬼. Good Demon) kills and devours Akki (悪鬼. Evil Demon). Yamada's Mayoke is Zenki (Good Demon). Shown here are the last spiritural 10 Mayoke glass artworks by Yamada.
