Yamada's artworks were violently vandalized by the Anti-Asian racist criminals before the opening reception day. The show organizer, Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition tried to cover up this horrific racist crime against him during the Asian Heritage Month. Yamada ended the affiliation with BWAC.
Yamada's precious artworks on display at the gallery of Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) were violently vandalized by the knife and chalk by the insider of BWAC before the day of the opening reception. It was the Asian Heritage Month. (It should also be noted that Yamada was the person, who produced the BWAC's very first art show at the well-established commecial fine art gallery in Manhattan, NY in the previous year.) The disgusting racist criminal(s) knew what they were doing. Despite Yamada's contacting each BWAC board members, they all tried to ignore and tried to cover up this insiders' horrible Anti-Asian racist crime at their own gallery. Not even a single condemination of words againt the violent racist criminal(s) or countermeasures were produced by those incompetent and racist BWAC board memberes.
Yamada was outraged and took down his artworks from the wall in the middle of the month-long show, and ended affiliation with the disgusting racist-cuddling & racist-supporting racist biggot organization Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) and their boardmembers of Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York.
Internationally famed artist Takeshi Yamada unveiled his four paintings of "Art of American Business" on display at the group art exhibition, produced by the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC). The show's opening reception was May 12, 2007. This art show was held during the festive Asian Heritage Month (May) all over the New York City. Nevertheless, Yamada had no choice but taking down all of his artworks in the middle of the 1 month duration exhibition. This was because the violent Anti-Asian criminal radical racist member(s) of the BWAC sneaked into the locked gallery space (days or weeks before the opening reception day, after he installed his artworks on the wall over a week before the opening reception day), the anti-Asian racist(s) violated Yamada's precious artworks on display with the slashing knife and the white chalk (gang sign). (Yamada arrived the opening reception day very early usually, even before any doors of the BWAC gallery opened.) Yamada was outraged. The estimated professional repair cost of the savagery dandalized Yamada's precious artworks by the criminal insider(s)/member(s) of BWAC was over $4,000. Despite his multiple contact to each board member, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition NEVER admitted their insiders' violent racist crimes, NEVER produced any apologies for Yamada, NEVER even produced any countermeasures to stop such incidents during the current show or the future shows, or NEVER even refunded his pricey membership fees. Yamada was outraged again. BWAC tried to cover up this disgusting violent crime at their very art gallery.Disgusting! It appeared, BWAC and its board members including the BWAC paid President (John Strohbeen) and the paid show chair (Anna Hagen) were all on the side of the anti-Asian racists, anti-Asian Heritage Month racist criminals, white supremacists, and violent street gangs (and those crime-committed thugs are most likely the BWAC members). In his own words via email to Yamada, this newly positioned BWAC President Strohbeen saw the vandalized Yamada's artworks with the disgusting gang graffiti days before the opening reception day but he thought they were just the part of these original artworks. BWAC is one of the most (otherwise the most) money-funded artists-run art organizations in Brooklyn with over 100 paying members. So, it should easily be able to pay the new security guards or ask the volunteer security guards from its over 100 artists members. Nevertheless, they did absolutely nothing, even the day, when Yamada took down his artworks on the wall and reported his leaving BWAC permanently, even it was in the middle of the 1-month long weekend only show (which Yamada already paid. These were the unforgivable, outrageous, disgusting, despicable, and sad facts and reality of this corrupted racist biggot well-paid board members and their despicable racist organization Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) then. Shame on you, despicable racist biggot BWAC of Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York!

12 May 2007 (opening reception)
Yamada at the Pier Gallery show
Photos: Takeshi Yamada and the Brooklyn Borough President Martin Markowitz at the opening reception day. Yamada with his gorgeous artworks on display, after the superficial repairs of them.
Note about the photos: Yamada superficially and partially repaired his vandalized painting immediately at the opening reception day. This was possible because Yamada always carried the paints and brushes, based on the past BWAC art shows. Sometimes his artworks got scratches due to the very poor handlings by those volunteer artist members, who prepared the show.

Yamada & Seara's first stroll the Board Walk
This was the first day for Yamada and Seara (Coney Island Sea Rabbit) to stroll the Boad Walk of the Coney Island Beach of Brooklyn, New York City. They were also asked to take photos together by half dozens of people there. He was pleasantly surprized. This lead Yamada to start the fine art performance art with his sea rabbits (in tuxedo suits or black suits) at the Coney Island Beach and beyond shortly.

Also, Yamada finally purchased the small point-and-shoot digital camera around this time for taking photos of Seara. (Up until then, Yamada took only minimum necessary photos every year with his big mechanical Canon film cameras since he moved to America in 1983.) His digital cames dramatically improved how Yamada documernt his creative life since then.
