Yamada Defeated CIUSA at His Court Battle
Yamada produced the court case against the company, Coney Island USA (Dick Zigun, Founder & Artistic Director of CIUSA) at the Small Claims Court in Brooklyn, New York for stealing his share of profits generated by his "Museum of World Wonders" show at their "Blow Off" gallery space. Yamada's show generated over $2,000 during the show, according to Zigun, as he confested to the Judge at the court. Yamada was agreed to be paid 50% of the profit from the show (this means $1,000) but Zigun refused to pay Yamada any money by saying CIUSA was a poor company. Zigun demanded all the artists, even the established artsists must work for free for him for their "exposures/PR" (that was a big lie). Zigun and CIUSA has been notorious for many years for their unethical non-payments among local perfomance artists, visual artists, and even their landlord. The nasty notorious CIUSA was also evicted for none payment for the rent and multiple housing code violeations from the boardwalk location before. (Sadly Yamada did not know of Zigun's long history of horrible and notorious reputation.) Judge determined and ordered CIUSA to pay Yamada $500 at the end. (PS. This is a public record, which anyone can obtain the whole official legal document from the Small Claim Court in Brooklyn, New York.) Needless to say, Yamada terminated any and all business affiliations with the disgusting Coney Island USA.
