Takeshi Yamada unveiled a series of paintings at his solo art exhibition "Visual Anthropology" at the Larson Art Gallery at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota. Opening Reception was held on December 1, 6-8pm.

Yamada Art Center and Museum of World Wonders opened in Brooklyn, New York
Yamada opened the Yamada Art Center (art production studio and art class) in the spacious 2000sq feet first floor apartment shortly after moving from Chicago, IL to Brooklyn, NY in the summer of 2000. Its spacious 2000sq feet gallery was renamed "Museum of World Wonders" in 2001. for displaying and selling his artworks.

Yamada opened the Yamada Art Center (art production studio and art class) in the spacious 2000sq feet first floor apartment shortly after moving from Chicago, IL to Brooklyn, NY in the summer of 2000. Its spacious 2000sq feet gallery was renamed "Museum of World Wonders" in 2001. for displaying and selling his artworks.

As a language consultant (English teacher, interpreter, translator), Yamada worked for over several hundred major corporations and government offices (including FBI, Federal courts, police offices, fire departments, United Nations, schools etc.) in Japan and the United States. Although what he did was a work behind the stage for supporting his clients, sometimes, he was also featured in media such as newspapers, magazines and TV news. Shown below is Takeshi Yamada featured in The Peotone Vedette newspaper in Gary Indiana (July 7, 1999. Vol., 105, no. 22) on the occasion of his Japanese-English interpreter assignment for the formal visit by the delegation of Japanese farmers visiting the farmers (and government offices) in Peotone, Illinois.

Portrait of Prof. Ted Fujita
Yamada produced numerous commissioned portrait pictures for his clients in Baltimore, Maryland and Chicago, Illinois. In 1999, Yamada was commissioned to create a portrait painting for Professor Ted Fujita in Chicago, Illinois. He is internationally famed for his research of tornado, which gave him the nick name "Dr. Tornado". He received a major award and medal "Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Star" (勲二等瑞宝章) from the Japanese Emperor.
NOTE: Tetsuya Theodore "Ted" Fujita (藤田 哲也 Fujita Tetsuya, October 23, 1920 – November 19, 1998) was a prominent Japanese-American severe storms researcher.
